Johannesburg - It seems like Dr Malinga and music legend Ringo just can't see eye to eye.
The Oteng hitmaker says he idolises the renowned music legend, but has been left heartbroken by Ringo's rejection towards him.
Dr Malinga took to Instagram to get a few things off his chest.
In a heartfelt message, Malinga revealed that he "grew up loving Dr Rebecca Malope and Ringo Madlingozi," and "took them as my parents musically."
Malinga added that he was known in Hammanskraal as Rebecca/Ringo. But his heartbreak started when he submitted a demo to Ringo, which was rejected. And that wasn't the end of it..
"Now I made it, I feel like he hates me because again even remixing his song NQONQO we fought before he approved. I only thought I was honouring my legend by remixing it," he reveals.
He says he has no beef with Ma Rebz, who even came to his aunt's funeral and congratulates him on his career.
"But Ringo didn't even once. So, Im deeply hurt. It's like he doesn't know me from long back, but I still admire him though. God Bless," he wrote.
I guess it's safe to say Dr Malinga won't be getting a birthday card from Ringo then..
