Eku: 'I'm not committed to the idea of marriage"

She is the hottest thing in Nigeria, but model, actress and presenter Eku says she's finally ready to take over the continent. Here's everything you need to know about Eku:

About dressing a little funny in public

“I don’t feel nervous doing things out of the ordinary but I like to do things that are different with my wardrobe. Go beyond the traditional dresses and skirts. Not as extreme as a meat dress, but maybe something like Akon in a giant plastic ball one day”.

Her favourite role

“Anything really. You know, I grew up wanting to be an actress. I never thought I would be a presenter. I fell into it by accident, I went for an audition and it went really well and my love for it just grew from that moment on".

Doing more as an actress

"I feel like I haven’t achieved enough as an actor though. I am known as a presenter, but I haven’t been explored too far as an actress and a part of me wants to keep chasing the acting harder and chasing jobs that challenge me.”

Her relationship status

“I’ve been dating someone for a while now, but I just don’t talk about it. I like to keep my private life separate from my professional life. I don’t hear wedding bells. I guess we want to get married, but I’m not the traditional woman. So for me, there’s no real pressure to get married.

Avoiding marriage

“A part of me thinks 'oh girl, you better get married before you 30, you better have kids before you 30' But I’m not committed to the idea of marriage. Sometimes I feel like the topic is the elephant in the room”.
