Emotional Menzi Ngubane: "I have dialysis 4 times a day"

An emotional Menzi Ngubane revealed that he is the actor that Mfundi Vundla paid medical aid funds for. The actor, who plays Sibusiso Dhlomo on the show, said Generations creator Mfundi Vundla lied about settling his hospital bill. "Mfundi knows the truth," he said.

The actor set the record straight and shared his hospital experience with the media at a press conference  held by the fired Generations actors in Newtown, Johannesburg, this afternoon.

He said his friend paid for his treatment at Brenthurst Clinic, not Mfundi. He explained that he diagnosed with kidney failure and was admitted to Helen Joseph hospital. He said Mfundi and a friend paid him a visit in hospital. "Why did he [Mfundi] take me to a private hospital," he asked.

He added that as weak as he was, he was expected to go back to work a few days later. "I left hospital on a Thursday. Friday I got a call sheet for Monday. They'd put a chair near me to sit on because I was so weak," he said, adding that he did between six and ten scenes a day. Menzi is on dialysis and is waiting for a kidney. "I will find a kidney one day," he added.
