Fact. It was Kelly Khumalo's hardest year

Songbird Kelly Khumalo faced any woman's worst nightmare this year.

Kelly found herself making headlines when she fell pregnant with Senzo Meyiwa's baby last year. She was called all sorts of names and was put on trial by society.  Little did she know that it was just the beginning of her troubles.

After much back and forth, Kelly and Senzo managed to rekindle their love and they were just starting to show off their happiness to the world when tragedy struck.

Her soccer star boyfriend was gunned down outside her home in Vosloorus on 26 October. Society immediately blamed Kelly for his death. She was called a 'home-wrecker' and some Senzo fans went to the extent of threatening to stone her to death if she went to his funeral.

About a month after Senzo's death, Kelly made her first public appearance and she looked stronger than ever. At the official launch of her 'Back to my Roots' album Kelly broke down with emotion but told journalists that she was Kelly Khumalo before the incident and still is afterwards.

She told media that negativity will not break her and that she has a responsibility of two children to take care of.

It's not doubt difficult for anyone to overcome such an ordeal but Kelly Khumalo keeps her head up high regardless.

Hoepfully 2015 will be easier on her.
