Fikile Mbalula: "Gareth Cliff is suffering from Verwoerd hangover"

Gareth Cliff probably didn't know that he was opening a can of worms when he asked who's paying for Senzo Meyiwa's funeral.

After asking that question on Twitter, the radio personality was attacked and even called racist.Gareth took to his website to explain his question and said he wasn't being controversial.

Now, our minister of Sport Fikile Mbalula, who spoke at Senzo's funeral in Durban, has  given his views on Gareth's comment. Fikile responded to a tweet about Gareth and he wrote: "Myekeni [leave him] he is suffering from Verwoered hangover."

He then tweeted: "It was an official funeral,official funerals are payed for by the state. Question that if you want y compare Senzo to Messi silly staff." Fikile then asked who paid for Verwoered's funeral. "And who paidd for PWBotha's funeral?It is the state did they deserve it we never asked bcos we respect the DD."

Another tweet read: "Why do SA allow this disrespect in the name of independent thinking. Why are we so Gullible?"
