Five things 2014 taught us about: Amanda Du Pont

2014 will be remembered as the year actress and presenter, Amanda Du Pont, made her mark. From crazy claims to royalty to the years biggest kiss, this is what we learnt about Amanda in 2014:

The girl has royal blood

While Lorde said she'll never be royal, the same cannot be said for our Amanda. She claimed, in an interview in August, that she is Swazi royalty and that people in Swaziland refer to her by the title Nkhosi and bow when she walks past. What? They don't ask for autographs or try take pics with you, Amanda?

The girl can act

She lit up the screen in the film Between Friends, where she played a gold digger with a mean streak. In 2015 she will star in the local dance film, Hear Me Move. We can't wait

She has a friend in Jesus

Amanda is one dedicated Christian, just a glance at her Twitter or Instagram feed will tell you that. There aren't many days that go by without her mentioning or thanking God. Friends say that's the one trait they love the most about her.

She got Cassper crushing!

Cassper Nyovest is obvs a fan of Amanda, and not just her movies. He wrote in his single Phumakim that he has a crush on Amanda. And kudo's to the man -  he worked on his feelings and ended the year as her "best friend" Way to work your way in there, buddy.

THAT Kiss!

One of the year's biggest talking points was Amanda's kiss with her "best friend" Cassper Nyovest at the Channel O Awards in November. Whether you think it was for real or just a publicity stunt, it was all we were talking about for a very long time.
