2014 was a turbulent year for former Generations actor, Menzi Ngubane. This is what we learnt about Menzi this year.

He likes a good strike – even if it means losing his job

Menzi was one of the 16 actors fired by the Generations production team after they apparently made crazy demands and staged a stay away strike. Menzi then joined the unemployment line.

So then he joined Muvhango- not

One of our favourite April Fools jokes involved Menzi joining the Muvhango team on a three year contract. It was so believable we still get queries about to this day.

He had dialysis four times a day  But he’s better now!

Everybody knows that Menzi suffered kidney failure a couple of years back, and had to have dialysis treatment sometimes as much as four times a day. He finally found a kidney donor, according to Drum, in October. Thank goodness!

He got divorced and found new love

Menzi and his wife of five years, Lerato Sedibe, got a divorced in September. But it didn’t take long for the rumour mill to grind into action and claim that Menzi was already in the arms of a new love.

His bedroom secrets

The problem with a messy divorce is the fact that sometimes dirty laundry gets aired in public, like Menzi’s divorce and the fact that his ex says she was never satisfied by Menzi and his arousal problems. Ouch
