Former Generations actors get a new (odd) gig

Johannesburg - Former Generations actors, including Thami Mngqolo (Senzo) and Xoli Zondi (Zodwa) have shown that there is a life without Mfundi Vundla and his hit  soapie.

According to Sowetan, the pair and several others from the soapie have banded together to form a new stage production.

But this isn't just any kind of stage production. It's a travelling stage show that brings water awareness to areas in KwaZulu-Natal.

"People should look at the bigger picture, not just the play but the message we are conveying to them. People should be aware the water crisis poses a major risk to the economy of the country," Xolie says.

And if you thought that they harboured any ambitions of going back to telly, you better think again. Thami says he's far too busy with  "more fascinating things than Generations."

We wonder fo they'll be inviting Mfundi over for drinks?
