Former Kaizer Chiefs star arrested for drunk driving

Johannesburg - Former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Valery Nahayo, was arrested and released on R1 500 bail after being caught driving under the influence.

According to Sunday World, Valery was pulled over by Jeppe police recently, and a case of drunken driving was opened against the former Amakhosi and Mpumalanga Black Aces star.

Valery apparently resisted arrest, claiming he was rushing to the airport to catch a flight to Belgium- where he now plies his trade.

Police confirmed to the paper that Valery was released on bail and is set to appear in the Jeppe Magistrates court in 6 months, after pleading with the judge to allow him to appear when he returns from Belgium in 5 months time.

So, no drinking till then, okay Valery?
