Generations' "MJ" angers fans

Anga Makubalo reportedly left fans angry after he turned up late for an event. The actor and musician was due to perform at two spring events in Polokwane and rocked up more than five hours late. Anga, who's one of the fired Generations actors, played MJ on the soapie.

Sunday Sun reported that Anga was the highlight and main act of both the Jozi vs Limpopo Spring Party and the annual Zebediela Spring Party.

A source described the situation as "embarrassing and appalling". "Remember, most of the fans, especially females, bought tickets to see him. His fan base is big here. He’s on Generations for crying out loud," the source said.

According to the source, most of the fans had left after waiting for hours on end. "Fans were pissed off. When he got on stage about 4?000 people had left. I hope whatever reason held him for five hours was valid. He mustn’t take his fans for granted," said the source. Event organiser, Steven Kekane told Sunday Sun: "Coming at 5:30 in the morning is not cool. Now, I have to throw another event for those who paid to see him."

The actor's phone phone rang unanswered and he didn’t respond to messages, according to the paper.
