Generations actors' on the Cosatu boycott request

The Generations Actors Guild have added their support for the public boycott of the hit soapie.

The organisation spoke to Drum magazine just days after the labour federation made the call to the public.

"We deeply appreciate the support from Cosatu and are gratified that our struggle is being understood as a workers issue and a labour issue that necessitates urgent action," the organisation told the mag.

Actors' feel that the boycott is a powerful way to send a clear message about the industry and dire need for change.

"We’re not anticipating that this will happen overnight, but we agree with Cosatu that a strong gesture must be made," they added.

Will you be boycotting the soapie?
