Zola is reportedly headed for depression. The Sunday Sun reported that the Kwaito star, who's affectionately known as "Zola 7", has lost interest in life.
A friend told the paper: "He doesn't even attend industry events. He is always surrounded by has-beens at his house."
Friends of the former megastar are concerned. Earlier this year Sunday Sun reported that Zola was forced to sell two of his houses because he couldn't maintain them.
When asked for comment, Zola told the paper: "People don't see me out there because I perform in rural areas and ekasi. I'm at home and I've been out for the last 15 years. I'm a happy person and am at peace with myself."
