Johannesburg- After years of producing hits for the likes of PRO, Khuli Chana and AKA - Buks is ready to take the industry by storm.
The rapper and music producer dropped his first single, Rule The World last week, and is hoping to release his debut album by March next year.
"Rule The World is a different take on how I view hip hop music. Being a producer/artist I like to take things to a different direction. It's a very unapologetic song in terms of the lyrics, and I'm pretty excited about it," he told The Juice.
Buks added that he actually started rapping before he started producing music, but producing didn't leave much time for him to focus on anything else.
"Now that I have some time, I just decided that it's time for me to put out my music," he added.
Buks, along with Kamza and AKA (who has since left) founded the IV League production company in 2007, and went onto produce hits for many of Mzansi's hip hop heavyweights.
It's also no secret that things are quite divided out on these hip hop streets right now. But Buks plans to stay clear from all the beef.
"The thing about beef is you're only involved if you are involved in it yourself. I'm here to do music and put out my music, and that's what I'm going to focus on," he added.
We'll hold you to that, Buks!
