How Nadia Nakai won over Ice Prince

Rap princess Nadia Nakai on Friday dropped her highly anticipated track with Nigerian hip hop superstar Ice Prince

Fans have had to wait a long time for the track to finally drop but Nadia says it was a long slog to finally get it done.

She says she was working on new material and wanted to work with Ice Prince but he wouldn't reply to her. She even sent his people a copy of the track she wanted to feature him on but was still shut down.

"I then decided to release the song on my own," she explains "but then I performed at the Channel O music video awards last year and met Made Men Music group CEO Ubi Franklin who works closely with Ice Prince," she tells Bona.

She told him how much she wanted to work with Ice Prince. "Two weeks later I got an email with his verse on it! I almost had a heart attack! I later got an email from Ice Prince expressing how much he loved the song, I couldn’t contain my excitement!,she adds.
