She may have not won last years Idols but contestant Zoe Zana has shown with talent, determination and a little courage you can be a success in music, releasing her debut single Bulletproof recently to positive review.
Zoe, who finished in the top four of last years competition, was so determined to make a career of music that she approached talented musician Loyiso Bala herself to suggest a possible collaboration.
He was so impressed by her that he offered her a spot on his record label, alongside 2010 contestant Llyod Cele.
Talking to the Daily Sun about life after Idols, the bubbly singer says that she's never been a shy person, a point she feels has helped her grab every opportunity in front of her, including working with Loyiso.
"I am not a shy person and I think that has brought me this far in my career.I told Loyiso I needed him to help me with my music and he agreed," she says.
And while she's been posting pics of herself and Loyiso together on social media, she admits that they were both a little taken a back, but pleased, by the sudden success of Bulletproof, a song she told Kfm a few weeks ago was about empowering woman and herself after Idols, to motivate them to realise they are bulletproof.
"I think people will know my sound now because this song has really captured the kind of sound I want to be known for." she says
