Impressive! The Soil has come a long way

SA group The Soil is already on their second album, Nostalgic Moments, which is doing extremely well. The group, which is made up of three members, Buhlebendalo Mda, Luphindo Ngxanga and Ntsika Fana Ngxanga, started out as a school choir consisting of 25 members.

Luphindo told Daily Sun: "We started with a big group in 2004 at Tekello Secondary School in Soweto, but most of the singers dropped out. In the end only the three of us remained." Luphinda and Ntsika are brothers, but working together is not a problem. We are brothers but also are also colleagues."

The group decided to go acapella because there were no instruments at their school. Ntsika told the paper that their songs come from a sacred place. "And we help to carry the messages through to the public," he added.
He described their music is kasi soul and said it is inspired by everyday life. "Our music comes from the heart," he told the paper. All their success comes from the hard work they have put in since releasing their first album. Their second album Nostalgic Momenst has reached gold and the stars are grateful to their fans for the success.
