Miss South Africa, Roelene Strauss, has been named a top 10 contestant in the Miss World Beauty with a Purpose competition.
Our Roelene is in London at the moment competing at the Miss World contest, where she hopes to come home with the crown. And she's already making big steps towards that dream, being named among the top 10 finalists for the category of Beauty with a Purpose.
Her achievement was not lost on a former Miss SA, Jo-Ann Strauss who took to Instagram earlier this week to celebrate the achievement by sticking up pics of herself with Roelene next to the caption: "To our gorgeous @rolenestrauss competing for the #MissWorld title in London - good luck! This title is yours. You epitomise the spirit of young South Africa. Trots op jou! #MissSouthAfrica #RoleneStrauss #MissWorld".
Roelene will be competing against contestants from England, India, Brazil, Indonesia, Kenya, Guyana, Philippines, Bolivia and Netherlands.
Miss World will be crowned on the 14th of December.
