Incase you missed it: Winnie Mandela loses Qunu meeting bid

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's attempt to stop Mandla Mandela from holding a meeting in Qunu has failed. The Mthatha High Court rule that the meeting can go ahead.

Winnie filed court papers to stop the meeting by the abaThembu royal family to resolve infighting in the Mandela family. Some of the other agendas to be discussed include Winnie’s claim to the Qunu property and Mandla Mandela's role as the head of the family.

It has been reported that Winnie warned that should the meeting take place, "violence is likely to erupt and thereby tarnish the good name of both myself and the late Mr Nelson Mandela."

The meeting, which was organised by Mandla  is expected to take place this Friday.
