The fate of the popular SABC1 dating show seems to be up in the air. Rumour has it that the show, which is hosted by media personality Phat Joe, has landed into financial trouble.
Insiders revealed the grim news to Drum magazine, adding that the reason behind the show's financial state is due to sponsors, who aren't paying up.
The mag is also reporting that show initially planned to have Trevor Noah as the host, but could not afford his rates.
The show's executive producer, Archie Tigere, confirmed that there were financial constraints during production, but insists that it's all been sorted out.
"We had hiccups whereby we had to make personal sacrifices but we're hoping Season 2 will be better. We're done shooting," he explained.
Archie rubbished claims that they could not afford Trevor Noah, adding that his schedule was fully booked.
