Isibaya's Zinhle Mabena: "I'm forever grateful"

Zinhle Mabena has come a long way in her acting career. The actress, who first graced our screens on Mtunzini.com a couple of years ago, is now on popular soapie Isibaya. And she's loving every moment of it.

Zinhle was interviewed on Kellman on CliffCentral.  "It's still humbling. You know I always have to pinch myself when I pass by a poster or a billboard or something like that, because I don't believe that it's me. It's an amazing feeling." She added that she's always wanted to be on the show. "I'm forever grateful."

The young actress, who plays Sihle on the show, explained that she shares some similarities with her character. "Zinhle is very brave and so is Sihle." She said she's had to be brave with so many decisions, especially when it comes to her career. "I've had to turn down certain things that I once wanted because I had a bigger vision. I've had to turn down TV roles, I've had to turn down so many things and that's part of being brave"

Being in the spotlight obviously comes with critcism and when it comes to that, Zinhle feels that people will always have something to say. "Whether you're on screen or not, it's just your responsibility as a person whether you take it or you leave it. It's important to know when to take that criticism. There are certain people that I just want to listen to."
