Itumeleng Khune lashes out over 'love triangle' claims

Reports that the soccer star allegedly cheated on ex-girlfriend Minnie Dlamini has sent Twitter into frenzy.

Sunday newspaper articles also revealed that Itu was apparently seeing a woman named Vanessa, who also works at the SABC.

Minnie admitted that she had been informed that a lady was allegedly obsessed with her but she fobbed it off. Minnie added that she had a career to focus on and didn't really care about the claims Vanessa made.

It's also believed that things got so heated between the two ladies that SABC management stepped in.  And, just 24 hours after Sunday newspapers hit the streets, fans have taken to Twitter to air their opinions.

Even though the soccer star himself declined to comment when newspapers approached him, he did slate the media on Twitter. "It's sad how much the media of this country wants to kill our local talent by writing non-factual stories especially about the footballers," Itu tweeted.

Meanwhile, Minnie's angered fans have been tweeting messages of encouragement to her and sending scathing tweets to Itu. "Lies will always be bitter in the end,no matter how sweet you made it at the beginning. ," tweeted one fan.

Another fan said: "SABC COO & spokesman confirm Vanessa's vindictiveness & obsession 2wards Minnie meaning its true. But ur blinded by lies!!! ."

"It is sad that Khune choses to support Vanessa over Minnie even though Vanessa's vindictiveness was confirmed," tweeted yet another fan.
