Johannesburg- Soccer star Itumeleng Khune has hit back at claims that his ex girlfriend, Minnie Dlamini was asked to "distance" herself from him.
Sunday World reported yesterday that Minnie was allegedly advised to stay away from the soccer star as it would negatively impact of future deals Nedbank has in store for her.
This is according to officials who spoke to the paper anonymously, claiming that Itu is regarded as a "bad boy."
The soccer star obviously did not take these accusations lightly and took to Instagram to tell his side of the story.
"This is my humble request once again, these journalist think they can write whatever they think is good to sell a paper but take bread out of our mouths, they write lies about us week in and week out cause I was crowned #champion yesterday so they thought they were going to take my shine away just like that," he wrote.
Itu pleaded fans not be fooled by such lies and questioned whether the media thought about his family and amount of hard work it takes to build his career and name, which is being "destroyed" by lies.
Minnie has also rubbished the claims. "There's no way in which a big corporation such as Nedbank can involve themselves in personal issues. There's no truth in that," she explained.
Nedbank has also said that it would not comment or get involved in the private matters of a service provider.
