Jeremy Loop: Down South

In a nutshell:  One of our favourite local folk stars has grown up and is ready to release his debut album at the end of the month. The first single from the album has dropped and it’s a little surprising.

What’s it like:  It's Like Jeremy Loops at a rap battle.  He brings his synch sound to a whole new level with samples and vocals from rapper, Motheo Moleko.  It still feels like Jeremy with his hundred and one instruments but it’s a nice, even if it is surprising, touch.

Fave Bit:  Jeremy is known for his strange and unique sounds and his instrumental solo near the end of the song is powerful as it sets the scene for a brilliant chorus climax.

Rating:  From a guy who’s known to perform live with baby rattles and walking rings, the layered synch sound was expected but hearing Jeremy’s voice on a hip hop infused song is refreshing as it is impressive. 4/5
