DROPPING OUT OF LAW TO BE AN ACTRESS

"My friends made my decision worse because they said I would be a struggling actress. That made me nervous. I prayed harder. I was grateful when I got a part on Isibaya. God gave me that role."

HER CHILDHOOD

When Jessica was nine she went to live with her father. Her parents, who were never married, split when she was a little girl.  "I was happy staying with him (daddy) Life was great. I was daddy's little girl all the way." But when she was 15, her dad fell gravely ill and she spent a lot of her time looking after him. He passed away and her life changed. "I thought it would be better if I walked out and got hit by a car and died as well."

THOSE KHAYA MTHETHWA RUMOURS

"When I started two  years ago, my agent told me that I would be attacked and bullied. So I made a conscious decision that I'm not going to entertain certain things."

SO, IS SHE SINGLE?

"I'm too young and too busy with work to focus on relationships right now."
