Joey Rasdien is quite a funny guy. He's been appointed the Minister of Haircair, Skincare and Apoena for the Mass Hysteria Comedy event.
We caught up with Joey to chat about the show and arresting Kim K for being a terrible role model to the world.
So, if comedy had a government you would be the Minister of Haircair, Skincare and Apoena. What the hell is Apoena?!
(Laughs) It's this thing, my guy, where you forget to breath - it's like a disorder. I don't suffer from it or anything, it's just a portfolio that John (Vlismas) gave me .
So we can only imagine that you have hundreds of apoena jokes ready for us at Mass Hysteria next month?
No, believe it or not there aren't many funny apoena jokes around. I mean, the only thing I can think of is that there are a lot of people in parliament and on Twitter that have the condition. They get so offended they forget to breath! Stay calm people!
Tell us about the moment you woke up and realised you were funny.
I never felt like I suddenly became funny. It was more of a gradual process where the toxins in my body slowly started to infuse with my cells and I gradually became a funny guy.
And the moment your hair realised it was funny?
This hair? It is quite funny but we don't tell him he's funny or he'll get a big head. He actually comes from a long line of funny hairs. Look at Maradona, his hair played football, and Jimmy Hendrix, his hair played guitar even, and even Moses!
Sounds like a royal line. Which celebrity would you make a wig of your hair for?
No celebrity. They have enough wigs. They wear weaves they say are Brazilian and come from Copacabana but instead their hair is coloured hair from Eldorado Park ext 3. They don't need my hair!
You're a comedian, an actor and now a politician! Which role do you prefer?
The role that makes the most difference. So, probably stand up comedy. I feel like people judge me when they see me in movies but if you come to my shows then you see the real me and you're in my environment to be entertained and won over by me.
You played the role of a cop in a recent movie. Which celeb would you like to arrest?
Well, it depends what you define a celebrity as. There are too many people who get famous from shagging black guys, they have no talent but they make a career out of marriage. That is not a role model! I don't want to arrest anyone but if I had to I would arrest Kim Kardashian for being a terrible role model.
