The Parlotones front man will be releasing a series of singles ahead of his full solo album release later this month.
To kick things off, Kahn released Days Like This last week. "I'm fortunate that my hobby is my career, which means that I'm also a prolific song writer and not everything fits into the Parlotones' portfolio, so I didn't want songs to not exist because of this. That's how the idea of releasing solo work was born," Kahn told The Juice.
He explained that the song is fun, with a very nostalgic feel to it. "It dramatically takes you to a place where you've experienced happy or special memories," Kahn added.
In other news, Kahn tells us that he's doing very well after undergoing throat surgery just over two weeks ago. "I actually saw the doctor yesterday and he's very happy with my progress. I've been undergoing vocal training and yesterday, for the first time since the surgery, I could sing an entire song," said an excited Kahn.
The Parltones' first performance since his operation is all set for 14 September at the Old Mutual Music in the Gardens series at the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens. Tickets available at the door for R150 or R120 through the Facebook page.
