Kaizer Chiefs won't break the bank to keep Itu Khune

Itumeleng Khune is allegedly dragging his feet obout signing a new contract from Kaizer Chiefs.

However, the club has made it clear that they won't burn a hole in their pockets to keep him. There's been rumours that Itu has not yet signed the contract as he's been made better deals from rival clubs such as Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

Kaizer Chiefs' chairman Bobby Motaung told Sapa that the club would not be "bullied" into giving the goalkeeper a contract that does not fit into their budget.

"We won't be shaken by clubs that offer more money. Players have come and left with this type of situation in the past and we have allowed them," he explained.

Bobby  added that they've been waiting for Itu's manager to arrive from overseas and as soon as he's in the country they would start negotiating a new deal.

He explained that it was up to Itu to decide what he wants out of a contract.
