Kass Naidoo honoured by sports minister

It's about time!

Kass Naidoo was among a group of influential women in sport to be honoured by Minister Fikile Mbalula.

A few weeks ago, the minister decided that it was time to pay tribute to women who've made a significant difference and contribution to the development of sport in the country.

Kass, who made her mark in the industry as the first female cricket commentator  is also the founder of GSport For Girls.  The organisation aims to mentor women in sport and encourage more sponsors to invest in women.

"Humbled to be honoured by tonight among the cream of SA women in sport," tweeted Kass when she got her award.

Other women who were honoured included Penny Heyns, Cindy Poluta and Portia Modise.
