Johannesburg - Former Generations actress Katlego Danke has paid tribute to acting legend Tiki Nxumalo, also known as Sompisi.
The entertainment industry was left in shock on Monday morning when it was confirmed that Tiki had passed away, possibly from an asthma attack.
Those who have worked with Tiki have paid tribute to the acting giant, including former Generations actress Katlego Danke.
"This news comes at a very sensitive moment, especially for all actors that worked on the original Generations. We are all a family and this is a blow to us all," a still shocked Katlego told The Juice.
"Ntatemogolo Tiki was an incredible human being. A father and friend on set, he was a consummate professional and we all grew to love him."
"I had a few lovely scenes with him and my fondest memory will forever be the scene where we played out his birthday. He played it with such sensitivity and made us all endeared to the character Sompisi. He had a good understanding of screen acting and even though he was not professionally trained, he learnt quickly and made working with him a pleasure," Katlego recounts.
"He will be sorely missed by us all - Generations cast and crew. My deepest condolences to his family and fans. We mourn with you," she added.
