One of Kelly Khumalo's closet friends, Melinda Ferguson, has written about her visit to Kelly's house after Senzo Meyiwa's death.
The Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper and captain was murdered last Sunday and was buried in Durban on Saturday.
Melinda, who is the author of Kelly's book, went to her house on Thursday. In a City Press article Melinda describes how Kelly told her what happened on that tragic evening and how they rushed Senzo to the hospital.
She told Melinda: "He died in my arms, Melinda. I felt his body go cold. We were so happy. Everything had been moved out the way for us to loved each other. Why? Why?"
Although the mother of two was threatened and vilified on social media, she told Melinda: "I am strangely peaceful. He is here. He will always be here."
