Kelly Khumalo's friend, Melinda Ferguson: "They loved each other deeply"

Kelly Khumalo's friends have banded together to show support for the singer during this tragic time.

This follows the killing of her soccer star boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa last night. Kelly was in the home when Senzo was shot and has been left highly traumatised by the ordeal.

Melinda Ferguson, a close friend and the author of the The Kelly Khumalo Story, which tracks her rise to fame, her battle with drug addiction, disastrous relationships and her journey to getting her life back in order told The Juice that she was deeply saddened by the tragedy.

"I am at a loss for words about this tragedy. The loss of Senzo has traumatised the nation. I am so sad for Kelly, who loved this man with all her heart. They both loved each other deeply.  I don’t know how she is going to handle this pain of loss and carry on. I can only send love to her and hope she finds some comfort during this dark time," Melinda said.
