Khanyi Mbau's talk show is number one in SA

Khanyi Mbau is killing the talk show scene.

The actress' show, Katch It With Khanyi, which made it's debut on etv last month - after airing on  OpenView HD's eKasi+ channel - shot straight to number one. According to TVSA, Khanyi's show dethroned SABC2's Motswako, gaining a strong viewership of 785 000. The site's stats reveal that Noeleen's 3Talk reaches an average of more than 400 000 viewers.

According to the site, Masechaba Lekalake's talk show Eksê: Let's Talk is also popular. The talk show, which a morning only show, was extended to evenings at 6pm on 16 September and airs from Tuesday to Thursday. It is more popular than 3Talk.

"It pushed 3Talk to the bottom of the Talk Show Top 5 list during it's first week on air. SABC3's other talk show Tongue in Cheek disappeared from the list completely," TVSA added.
