Kwaito star threatened with a lawsuit

According to Move, Durban kwaito star Bhar is being threatened with a lawsuit after failing to pitch at an event he was booked for.

This comes after speculations that his relationship with the event organiser, Mpilo Nhleko of Fussion Events (who also happens to be his long time friend) had gone sour.

Mpilo admitted that he's not on good terms with the muso and that he has taken legal action against him. "This a private matter. As much as I want to speak about it, I'm not allowed to since the matter is with our lawyers," he told the mag.

While on the other hand, Bhar, who allegedly owes the event organisers R10 000 and the costs incurred when they booked him a hotel, claims "they're the ones who owe [him]." "I have been performing at their event from 2012 and all along they have been promising to pay but they didn't," he said. He also added: "Yes, there is a deposit (R5 000) that was paid by them. That amount is nothing because they still have to pay me R16 000. I'm a businessman and I survive with my music."

See? Friends and money and don't mix.
