Johannesburg - It's been nearly a year since South Africa lost its iconic footballing son, Senzo Meyiwa. But for his family it's a heartbreak they have to live with every single day of their lives.
Senzo's wife, Mandisa Mkhize, has struggled since the footballer's death last October (read more about that here), with her daughter recently having to celebrate her birthday without her daddy (read more about that here).
And on the date of the couple's wedding anniversary, Mandisa posted a heartbreaking message of remembrance.
"1st of October it was suppose to be our anniversary,it was a beautiful day but God plans can never be changed," Mandisa wrote, later adding "It's suppose to be the happiest day."
"That moment when you want answers and your child is asking u questions. Where do I start trying to explain heaven and why people go there. Why they don't come back?"
"Try and explain that to a 7yr old and still have straight face acting strong and not cry but deep down u feel like screaming and telling her I also don't understand why good people die," she wrote.
Friends and family were quick to offer their support to Mandisa and encouraged her to stay strong.
Senzo will never be forgotten...
