Mark Fish on health scare: I'm better now

Johannesburg - Mark Fish is no stranger to being the subject of tabloid fodder. From his sensational divorce from his ex-wife, Loui Fish to his financial woes, and most recently a health scare which he blamed on evil spirits, there's no denying that his life is always in the spotlight.

But the former soccer player says he finally feels like everything is on track. Speaking out for the first time since suffering from a reported heart attack, a health scare which Mark later blamed on evil spirits in his house, which he claims led him to start drinking heavily, Mark appears to have done a u-turn.

The Juice caught up with him at the Nestea Take The Plunge challenge, which saw celebs don whacky outfits and jump into a pool in an attempt to raise funds for CHOC. "It was an experience that we had to unfortunately, or fortunately had to go through. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. It brought my family closer together," he says about the scare.

Mark, who got married to Salome Janse van Rensburg in January this year, says that he is living his passion and doing well with the soccer academy that he started.

On the controversial issues in his life, and the headlines that seem to follow his every move, Mark says the media is there to make sales and for him, that means he is still relevant. "If a false story is written and it upsets my family, I always tell them 'as long as you know me and know the truth.'"
