Media banned from Lulu Dikana's funeral

Songstress Lulu Dikana will be laid to rest on 13 December.

The songbird's sudden death after suffering from a short illness shocked music fans across the country last week.

The singer's family and record label, Sony Music have released funeral details in a statement. However, no journalists or photographers are allowed at the funeral.

"Regret no media journalists and no cameras will be tolerated at the funeral service," said the statement.

Everyone else wanting to bid farewell to the singer are welcome at the funeral. There will also be no memorial service held for the singer. It's believed that the singer expressed this wish to her family before her death.

The funeral service will take place from 9am  at Tsoseletso High School Hall, DR DM Selemela Street, Bloemanda, Bloemfontein.

May her soul rest in peace!
