Melusi Yeni embroiled in maintenance saga

The popular Muvhango actor is being taken to court over maintenance payments.

Sunday World is reporting that the actor could end up paying R1.3 million should the mother of his child, Palesa Yvodia Molemela, win the court case.

It's alleged that Melusi had a one night stand with Palesa, but when she fell pregnant, he refused to acknowledge that he fathered a child.

However, a DNA test proved that he was indeed the father of Palesa's child.  Palesa has opened a case at the Randburg Magistrates Court where she's demanding R 6000 a month.

Melusi's lawyers told the court that he could not afford that amount as his contract with Muvhango had not been renewed. It's believed Melusi told the court that he can only afford R1500 per month.

The case has been postponed until next month, but in the meantime he's been ordered to pay the R1500.
