Menzi Ngubane: "I'm divorced"

Menzi Ngubane seems to be running out of luck. Menzi, who is one of the 16 fired Generations actors, has revealed that his marriage is over. The actor has been married to Lerato Sedibe for five years, according to DRUM.

He told the magazine in an exclusive interview that it is over: "I'm divorced. This has been the hardest time of my life. While I was still dealing with the divorce, now I also have to deal with the fact that I'm jobless."

Menzi, who's currently on a kidney transplant list, said his marriage was a lie. "I had no one. I kept on painting this picture that we were happily married. I did this because I was trying to protect my marriage. I was a liar for all these years."

The magazine quoted a comment made by Lerato to a Sunday newspaper. The paper reported that the couple split last year and that it was Lerato who ended things. She said: "Yes, we are no longer together, Marriage is not easy. I don't believe in quitting from marriage without counselling."

The two met at a shopping centre in Kempton Park in 2003. DRUM tried to contact Lerato for comment on the matter but she didn't respond.
