Johannesburg- Word on the ground is that Menzi Ngubane could be returning to Generations. (The rebooted version, obvs)
But do you think Menzi and Mfundi Vundla have really buried the hatchet?
Remember when the 16 principal cast members were fired, Menzi broke down with emotion as he recalled how he was treated by Mfundi after he underwent a kidney transplant?
Mfundi told media that he had gone beyond the call of duty for the actors, who accused him of "poor working conditions" and "violating their rights."
It later emerged that the actor Mfundi was talking about was Menzi, who denied the claims.
Now, a few months later insiders told Sunday Sun that Menzi is currently in talks to get his old job back.
Apparently Menzi has been snowed under with bills and hasn't been able to secure a job. The insider added that Menzi allegedly met with Mfundi to apologise, and all is well between them.
"I don’t have grudges against Menzi. He’s my brother. Menzi and I just had a few disagreements – that’s all. And, he knows where we stand," Mfundi told the paper.
Mfundi added that he would work with Menzi, who he has the greatest respect for.
However, Menzi denied even talking to Mfundi. "Last time I heard from him was when he fired me by email. I don’t know about his change of heart lately," he added.
Okay. Something doesn't add up...
