Mi Casa's J Something: "Be bold and confident in yourself"

Mi Casa's front man wants to inspire more people to be bold and courageous in all spheres of life.

In a very touching blog post, JSomething revealed his story to followers about how he started off in the industry doing paperwork for free for Soul Candi.

"I remember when I just arrived in Johannesburg from a little town called Port Alfred and got placed in a room at Soul Candi to do paperwork for other artists. It was a free gig. Wasn’t getting paid a cent," he explained.

He says that as irritating as the job was,  he worked his "ass off" to do everything as perfectly as he could. All the time keeping his dream at the back of his mind.

After three years of doing the same mundane job, J's chance finally came when there was an opening for a studio manager. "I stepped up and confidently said, I'll do it!"

He added that although there were many candidates to do the job, few could compare with the hunger and passion he had at the time. "When I look back at these moments in my life I realize how important it is to be confident in ones self, and to approach all situations with boldness," he explained.

The singer recalled how one day he met Dr Duda and then MoT... "one thing lead to another and now we are blessed to tour the world together."

"I wanted to encourage you to be confident. Be bold. Be courageous in all spheres of your life. Train your mind to think this way. Daily," he added.

Thanks J!
