Milkshake's Cycle Tour goals: Beat Poppy!

DJ Milkshake is quite the veteran when it comes to Cape Argus Cycle Tours. This year will be the popular DJ and radio host's 5th Argus.

We caught up with Milkshake ahead of the Argus this weekend to talk all things cycling and we learnt that, although the only person he's racing is himself, he would still like to beat a certain 5FM DJ.

Milkshake explains that on one of his first Argus Tours he was overtaken by fellow DJ Poppy Ntshongwana. A fact he says she still won't let him live  down.

And although he's made sure he's beaten her every year since, he's not taking any chances."I don't stop training. I train all the time. I like to do spinning classes in the week but I'll go out on the bike on weekends," he says.

He's so prepared for this year's race, he might even do it twice! "I'll have to see what time I finish and how I'm feeling but I was definitely thinking of doing it a second time right after," he says.

You know, just so he can lap Poppy!
