Minister Jeff Radebe: "Senzo was a hero"

Minister in Presidency Jeff Radebe described fallen soccer star Senzo Meyiwa as a blossoming flower that withered.

The minister spoke fondly about how Senzo was not just an Orlando Pirates player but was recognised across the world. "Senzo was a hero of the soccer field," said Jeff.

He thanked parents of people like Senzo for giving their children to South Africa.  The minister said that the nation must curse the animal of greed, that took Senzo's life.

"Let us join in unison to mourn this hero who was taken away by the untimeliness of death," he added.

The minister called on the nation to use Senzo's death  to join hands in the fight against crime.  He said that the nation relied on Senzo to regain it's pride.
