Minnie Dlamini on Itu break-up: "I am completely broken"

A lot has been reported about Minnie Dlamini and Itumeleng's break-up. The two stars shocked fans when their split was made public and neither of them has openly spoken about what happened.

But now it seems Minnie finally wants to put all the rumours, including a reported reunion, to rest. After it was reported that the two had gotten back together, the TV presenter that she was still single. She has taken the clearing up to another level in an interview with True Love magazine. The mag's December cover star admitted that the the break-up was completely heartbreaking.

She said: "I won't lie, I really didn't want to talk about it, but I need to stop acting like it didn't happen. It happened and it hurt me tremendously. I am completely broken as a result. Trying to make fans believe that I'm okay is stupid. It happened and I need everyone know that yes, it broke me and I'm still heart-broken, but its it's one of those things. I need everyone to know that I will be okay."

Minnie said she is at a point in her life where her career is doing really well and she gets to focus on that. She added: "When you get into a relationship, you blur the lines a little bit. It's not that you start to slack of, but certain things stop taking priority. And as a Zulu girl, family is really  important. Growing up, we are taught to put family first. I really thought I was building a family."

Itu and Minnie made their relationship no secret, even going as far as posting lovey-dovey pictures on social networks. Does Minnie regret putting her love out there? Not at all. She told the mag: "I have no regrets. If there is one thing I know I did perfectly in my life, it was my relationship. Well, my previous relationship. I did it as best as I possibly could. It's just that sometimes things don't go according to plan and you know you can't control someone else's feelings and that's what it boils down to."
