Drama for R. Mashesha's family as his body goes 'missing'

Johannesburg - There's just no end to the drama in the Mashesha family home!

As the Big Nuz member's family prepare for his memorial this afternoon, reports have surfaced claiming the family were shown the wrong body at the morgue.

According to Daily Sun, family were shocked when they arrived at the state morgue to identify R. Mashesha's body, only to learn that his body was still at the hospital.

"We got to the government mortuary in Gale Street to identify my brother’s body but it wasn’t there! The hospital had labelled the wrong body and released it to the mortuary," R. Mashesha's sister Zonke Khomo told the paper.

“We spent hours searching for the right body. We then called the hospital to find out what happened. To our surprise, St Augustine’s Hospital confirmed that it had sent the wrong body to the mortuary. My brother’s body was still at the hospital,” she added.

This comes after reports that thugs posing as mourners had stolen goods, including clothes, a Playstation and Apple laptop from the Mashesha house. (Read more about the robberies here.)

The funeral for the musician will be held this Saturday. For more details about the funeral, and how you can get pay your respects, click here.
