In a nutshell: She lit up the world with her 2013 debut, Yours Truly. Now the fresh faced pop sensation Ariana Grande has followed the up the album with her sophomore album, My Everything.
What’s it like: A pop princess growing up. Ariana is a good girl with a precious voice, something which made us like her in the first place, but she shows us a little bit of a darker side with My Everything. It's only a small glimpse, mostly through her collaborations with Iggy Azalea and Big Sean , but it's enough to show that this sweet pop princess has enough in her musical toolbox to surprise.
Fave Bit: Break Free. It's quite a departure from most of the albums pop-fuelled melodies. But Break Free grabs the attention with it's synch filled, dance floor filling beats that will zip through your brain faster than a good idea!
Rating: My Everything feels like much of the same for Ariana Grande. The "IT" girl of pop releases an album that is filled with spontaneous and catchy pop tunes but that lacks any real staying power. The album does try to break the pop monotony though with some daring attempts that show us Ariana has the potential to give us so much more 4 /5
