Music: Eminem Feat. Sia - Guts over Fear

In a nutshell: Everyone's favourite white rapper, Eminem, is back (AGAIN!) and ready to release a brand new album, Shady XV, in November. Guts over Fear is the first single from the album and will appear on the soundtrack for the upcoming Denzel Washington movie, The Equalizer.

What’s it like: Like Déjà vu, but the good kind! The duo collaborated on the track Beautiful Pain on the deluxe version of Em's The Marshall Mathers LP 2.  Guts over Fear is a slow burning track that tries its best to allow both artists the space to show themselves off comfortably, but it sadly only just works. The tempo seems slow enough for Eminem to cope and get all heartfelt, but not fast enough for Sia to really belt out her best.

Fave Bit:  Like most of Eminem's songs, he really shines when he gets angry and just screams and shouts. His monologue about representing everyone in the trailer park with a dream has been used a million times, but it's still pretty inspiring.

Rating:  Guts over Fear is a great song with so much potential (after all, it has two of biggest voices in the music industry) Sadly it doesn't really depart from the mediocre- Eminem-Collaborations box. The song tries to give both Em and Sia a platform to shine, but they both fall in the cracks between and neither sounds terribly convincing.  4/5
