Music: Kid Ink – My Own Lane

In a nutshell: Rapper Kid Ink releases his second full length album featuring collabs with the likes of Pusha T, Tyga and Chris Brown

What’s it like: Not mixing the cup of soup properly. Kid Inks latest effort tries to make hip hop more mainstream with a pop sound that, when it’s good, is brilliant but when it fails it falls horribly.

Fave bit:  Besides Show Me, Kid Ink’s other single Main Chick is sure to fire up any dancefloor.

Rating: Although Kid Ink shows he’s in his own lane (see what we did there) with his latest effort, it’s not a smooth ride with too many musical ups and downs to be seen as anything great. 3/5
