In a nutshell: Our favourite American pop rockers are back with their fourth album. Their last album was a great effort by the band but the expectation is that this one will have a little more magic to grab those of us who aren’t already fans of the band.
What’s it like: Like a rollercoaster of music. It switches from pop to funk to rock and pop again with twists and turns that will keep you awake and interested. Be warned though, just like a rollercoaster if you stay with it too long it may make you sick.
Fave Bit: The first single from the album, Love Don’t Die. The foot stopping anthem is a gem that promises at times to explode into a full on rock party similar to what you would expect from the likes of the Black Keys or Kings of Leon.
Rating: Although it’s a good effort that will stay the full course, it definitely doesn’t have the magic to “save a life”. 3/5
