Nandi Mngoma's mystery pillar of strength

Johannesburg - There's absolutely no doubt that Nandi has had an incredible year thus far, but what's interesting is there is a mystery 'person' who she attributes her success to, among her family and God.

The singer recently took to Instagram, after picking up Glamour's 'Most Glamorous' award to reflect on her successful journey in her career...

My Queens and Kings! Wow what an incredible year it's been so far! Starting the new year I decided to really reach my full potential, be fearless and take bold steps. *I decided to focus on music (my true love) &took the difficult decision to leave Universal Music to start my own thing (coming soon) and take my music career to the next level as I really wanted to represent my Queens in music. *With the success of my LEGiT range, I'm taking my love for fashion and especially YOUR fashion with #FashionFriday and something very special later in the year. *And then to continue to make others feel good about themselves. I want everyone who knows my story to see someone who has failed in life but never let that get in the way of their dreams and feel empowered by my story. "Who was she? And what did she do? She was herself and she did it all!" Being a winner of the Glamour award in my industry is such an honour and testament that "Nothing is impossible to a willing heart.." Thank you Glamour magazine and thank you @klukcgdt for this beautiful gown?????? #glamoursmostglamourous

Shortly after, she posted another snap - this time of her award - where she revealed that there's a person who's been in her life for over 2 years that helped to heighten her career. And, only if you have been living under a rock for the past year or so, will you not think that she was referring to her rumoured boyfriend, Zakes Bantwini.

'For just over 2 years I've had someone, teach me so much about my talent, my potential as a person and someone who has inspired me to do more,' she revealed. She also stressed the importance of having a support structure. 'Whatever you do in life. Make sure you have people who support and believe in you and your dreams,' she wrote.

However, back to the spectacular year she's having, we think this pretty much sums it up: QUEEN!

Big ups to Zakes...oops, we mean the mystery person who's pushing the songbird to greatness!
