Johannesburg - Who needs to work for a radio station when you can start your own? Right, Sbu?
Popular radio personality and businessman, DJ Sbu has a new ambitious venture to plow his time and energy into: a radio station.
The MoFaya creator and former Metro FM DJ announced on social media on Thursday that he has exciting plans to open his own radio station and promises to have it up and operational within a year.
Posting a pic of himself behind the radio mic, Sbu wrote: "12 months from today, some of your favorite radio DJs will be working at this man’s own radio station."
Sbu was axed from Metro FM earlier this year after promoting his energy drink startup, MoFaya, on stage at the Metro FM awards.
A few days after officially leaving the station, Sbu joined CliffCentral, only to later say that he didn't have the time.
Clearly he has cleared his schedule, because now he is starting his own station.
